The Reading Distraction
So for the past few days, when not working, I’ve decided to indulge myself with a good book or two…and recently discovered a really good book that got me gripped and decided to write about it. Surely since I have nothing better to do with my life (minus the fact I took some very pretty pictures of a rainbow but still couldn’t be bothered to post them).
Well, my school librarian has introduced me to books written by Philippa Gregory after I complained to her that I have a lack of reading material (not!). To give you a brief idea of the books of hers I like, they are the ones based on British history. Especially around the Tudors. The current book I’m reading that I want to talk about is the Constant Princess, which is the story of Catherine of Aragon. The window of Arthur Tudor and the first wife of Henry (VIII) Tudor.

It is a rather moving book and as I don’t want to spoil it for you I won’t tell you all of the plot but it tells the life of Catherine of Aragon, from the age of three, to her marriage to her first husband Arthur until he dies a tragic death and her fight to keep the promise she made to him.

Sounds like an interesting book. Ah, it’s been ages since I read a book. The last one I read was the Deathly Hallows.
You need to read but word of warning, if you get emotional easily, this book will make you sob.
I’ve been doing the same thing as you…reading. I’ve done little else these past two days, which I’m starting to think as a bad thing, judging by the pile of work I now have to do.
