Another medical diagnosis
08Apr08
So I went to the hospital again for a check up with a physio specialist in wrist problems. The first time being for an x ray, the second being the above. Anyways, turns out I don’t have RSI but wrist tendonitis in my right hand and the only cure (apparently for me) is a cortisone injection into the area. Yay more injections. She doesn’t know though what causes the stiffness and the fingers locking. Ah well…maybe all will be told in time.

Ugh, injections in the hand sound scary. I hate injections, you know. But seems you’re rather used to them. And finally I understand your Facebook status!
Btw, you better start typing with the left hand because they’re surely gonna ask you to give the right one a rest, whether you have RSI or not.
Yep. That is my facebook status. Except they wanna do it after my exams cause then I have to like properly rest it. Fun yay! Not. Apparently what I deem rest, isn’t really rest.
just to let you know cortisone injections hurt like hell, esp when injected into sensitive areas containing lots of nerve tissue. i know, i did a whole day of work experience watching a doctor to them to many many people. my advice is tell them to do it slow and eat chocolate afterwards.
oh and be grateful that your wrists aren’t swollen - far more painful if they are (cos they’ll have to use a fatter needle to draw fluid out first)
Sounds painful. The only injections I’e taken are in the *censored*… yeah that was a long time ago.
Lol. It apparently is going to be painful. Gonna trust bucket on this. Ahhhh!
